We don't keep data forever just because it's easy to. This page sets out, in plain terms, how long Sellza.ly keeps different kinds of data and why — so both our customers and our own team know what to expect.
This policy applies to data in systems that Sellza.ly (operated by Mobit Solutions Limited) controls directly: our application database, hosting environment, and backups. It doesn't cover data held inside third-party tools you connect to Sellza.ly yourself (for example your own store platform or payment provider) — those follow their own retention rules.
Retention periods are set and reviewed by the team responsible for security and data protection at Mobit Solutions Limited, based on what the product needs to function, what the law requires us to keep, and what's fair to the people the data belongs to.

We keep rolling backups so we can recover the service if something breaks. When you delete data from the live product, it can take up to 30 days to fully drop out of our backup history as older backups get replaced by newer ones.
If we're required to preserve specific data for a legal claim, investigation, or regulatory request, we'll keep that data for as long as the hold applies, even if it would normally have been deleted sooner. We lift the hold and resume normal deletion once it's no longer needed.
When a retention period ends, data is either permanently deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked back to you, depending on what's technically practical for that system.
